Benjamin's story
In April 2025, after half a lifetime of working in construction, I slipped a disk in my back. This injury forced me to re evaluate my priorities, as well as the ways that I earn a living. I fell back on what I knew, the things that my family taught me, the things that make me the happiest: farming, and cooking quality food for lots of people. Thus, Viroqua Smoke was born, out of a desire to live a more fulfilled life by cooking affordable farm-to-table meals for the community.
